Last Sunday I took a lovely walk through North Beach, San Francisco’s Little Italy. It was a warm, Indian Summer day. As I rounded the corner of the famed City Lights Book Store I saw the alley was bustling with activity. It was “A Fair to Remember” a cleverly titled street fair filled with handmade jewelry, soaps, paintings, craft projects, unique apparel, and photography. In the midst of it all a group of young musicians play some folksy tunes fitting the feel of the fair. “A Fair to Remember” is a charming event that takes place once a month in Jack Kerouac Alley.
